How Does Toastmasters Work?

My Toastmasters Journey
In 2007, one of my colleagues from the Organization I worked for , approached me with a proposal to start a Toastmasters Club. I had not heard of it before, but the concept seemed fun and was a good way to network with my peers.
I joined the club as one of the Founder members. We used to meet every Thursday afternoon after the lunch break in a meeting room at our corporate office. Soon I was nominated for a Club Leadership role. Being a learner that I am, I grabbed the opportunity and became the VP Education of my club. In the years that followed, Toastmasters provided me with immense learning and growth in my work. I started to contest in speech and debate contests, and won many awards and trophies.
